Priority Planning through Transitions:

Of greatest importance:
-Find out what and who needs to change
-Find out who and what stands to lose if change occurs
-Sell the problem as the need for change
-Exhibit the problem, firsthand when possible
-Talk to individuals
-Talk about the transitions
-Hold regular meetings

Important, but not primary
-Design temporary systems to contain confusion
-Make organizational improvements where possible
-Re-enforce community interaction

Things you should not do:
-Outsource leadership
-Break the changes into a series of smaller changes
-Pull the best people into an exclusive group (you will need their influence throughout the oprganization
-Scrap the plan for something less disruptive
-Discipline those who struggle to get on board
