While on sabbatical we saw a handful of movies. Certainly more than we typically see in an average month. Here’s what I thought…
I thought the first Narnia was a bit of a let down. This one made up for it. Much more along the lies of my imagination as I read the books. At two and a half hours, you felt a little better about your ten dollar fee. Definately recommend this movie. (4 1/2 out of 5 stars)
Attempting to be the next Lord of the Rings or Chronicles of Narnia, the Golden Compass fell WELL below what I expected. Story was over reaching on metaphor and boring. I know the book has been fairly popular and made up for any popularity in controversy, but the movie was much ado about nothing. (1 1/2 out of 5 stars)
I had intended to wait until video on this, but when I went to the movies with a friend we narrowed it down to this or “You Don’t Mess with the Zohan”. This won. Better than expected. Alot of action. Ending was a little crazy. (3 out of 5 stars)
Really enjoyed this movie. Had some funny spots, and some profound spots. Love Nicholson and Freeman. The combination worked. Good movie. (4 out of 5 stars)
Two movies I am looking forward to seeing…
